--Boston--As our collective candles grow stronger, we're positively glowing! The Boston Jewish Music Festival (BJMF), premiering March 6-14, 2010, will be shining a strong new light in the Greater Boston area, with eight great nights of outstanding Jewish music!

We've been busy booking performers, reserving concert venues, raising funds, and putting together an exciting series of concerts, workshops, and events to spotlight the varied, ever expanding and dynamic world of Jewish music. There'll be something for everyone--from legendary artists like Flory Jagoda (who wrote one of the most famous Hanukkah tunes, Ocho Kandelikas), to the infectious dance music of Electro Morocco, to a rare concert of Ernst Bloch's magnificent Sacred Service, with chorus and orchestra. From family concerts to a gala 30th Anniversary celebration of Boston's own Klezmer Conservatory Band (bringing back some of the band's original members). You won't want to miss it.

BUT, we need YOU to make it happen. Ticket sales alone won't support the cost of putting on this new, world-class annual event for our community. We're nearing our goal of raising $250,000 by the end of December so that we can make all of our planning real. Concerts, receptions, workshops in area schools...your donation helps make them all happen.

Your contribution-large or small-can make the difference in bringing all of this high quality, meaningful and enriching programming to greater Boston. It's a celebration of Jewish culture and artistry that Boston deeply deserves. We know times have been hard this past year. That's all the more reason why we need the power and joy that only music can bring-to lift us up, to bring us together, and move us.

Donate now and you will help us reach a $20,000 Challenge grant from the Wolk Family/Cross Country Group.

Won't you visit our web site now and make a tax-deductible contribution to the Boston Jewish Music Festival? http://bostonjewishmusicfestival.org/index.php/you-can-help Light a candle for the BJMF, and we know you'll bask in the glow we'll create together.
