Orel Foundation Website.
Orel Foundation Website is dedicated to presenting information for scholars and musicians about the music banned between 1933-1945 in Europe. Many Jewish composers are part of this group of banned composers. There are many fine biographies, links to performance dates and general information about the music and lives of these composers. There are many interesting articles and a discussion board. There is also a review of the Biographical Dictionary of Persecuted Musicians 1933-1945, which started from a list of about 5.000 names that Peter Petersen collected over the last twenty years. Organized by and a welcome from James Conlon, Music Director of the Ravinia Festival, Los Angeles Opera and the Cincinnati May Festival.http://orelfoundation.org/index.php/site/
