KlezKamp Plucked Strings and Cantorial Melodies December 21-26, 2008
Jeff Warshauer willl be teaching special hands-on workshops for plucked string players: 1) A hands-on workshop for any plucked string instrument, covering specific techniques for playing klezmer/Yiddish music, and 2) A mandolin orchestra open to plucked or struck string instrumentalists, plus singers. Also an advanced hands-on workshop for improvisers and composers (both instrumentalists and singers) addressing Jewish Cantorial modality and improvisation.
