Shir Chadash: The Brooklyn Jewish Community Chorus Auditions

Shir Chadash: The Brooklyn Jewish Community Chorus, under the direction of Natasha J. Hirschhorn, announces auditions in September 2008 for our 9th season. If you have a passion for Jewish music and are committed to the highest quality of performance, we encourage you to visit us and audition this fall. All voice parts welcomed.

A 40+-member adult choir, Shir Chadash is a true community chorus -- welcoming, diverse and independent of denominational affiliation. We rehearse September through June on Tuesdays, 7:30-9:30 pm, at The Park Slope Jewish Center, 14th Street and Eighth Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. We perform several concerts each season and our repertoire includes everything from liturgical offerings in both classic and modern settings to updated arrangements of world folk music and the performance of new sacred and secular works.
