The first SMC edition is organized by IRCAM. It will take place during the IRCAM Resonances 2004 Festival, a ten-day long music technology forum combining conferences, workshops, open house and concerts from Wednesday October 13th until Friday October 22nd, 2004.
Sound and Music Computing (SMC) is supervised jointly by AIMI
(Associazione Italiana di Informatica Musicale) and AFIM (Association
Française d'Informatique Musicale).

Papers submissions are solicited in all the sound/music computing
fields. A special session on "Improvisation with the computer" is organised
during the first day (Oct. 20th), for which papers are solicited as well.
